Synopsis[]

Despite coming clean about 'A,' the friends find their troubles far from over, especially as the results of the group's clandestine blood drive push Tabby towards a new suspect.

Summary[]

DECEMBER 11th
SUNDAY

The Little Liars explain to their mothers the entire situation with A, Karen being pushed, Tyler's murder, and A being train car guy. He was in love with Angela Waters in high school and years later, set about punishing the people who were somehow a party to her death. The sins of the mothers visited upon their daughters. They didn't tell their moms was was going on because A threatened them to keep quiet. They were afraid of what he might do if they ending follows his rules. The placed anonymous call to the police after they found Crazy Joe's body, and are assuming they found him. They're also assuming they assumed it was a suicide. They think he killed himself because Imogen busted his ass, discovered his identity, where he was living, and that he accomplished what he set out to do - test them, make them suffer. Punish the guilty, as he said. Now, it's time for their moms to tell them the whole truth about their connection to Angela Waters.

Sidney starts by admitting they were bullies in high school, horrible, mean girl bullies. Elodie reveals that she and Angela were in a secret relationship, but she denied it and said Angela was obsessed with her. Corey talked Angela into getting a tattoo, even though she knew Angela would get in trouble with her holy roller mother. Marjorie was smoking outside of school and when the janitor caught them, she made Angela say it was just her. Sidney wasn't a good friend to Angela. She confided in her about the assault and she didn't help her. Imogen asks why they were all so cruel to Angela. Elodie tries to justify it as it being a different time, with girls being meaner in the '90s. Corey admits Angela was an easy target. Marjorie adds that it was a game - a terrible game. Imogen asks about her mom and what she did to Angela. One Halloween, Davie thought it would be funny to make Angela throw filth at someone's door. After she did it, they all drove away and just left her there, alone. Now, they keep talking to one another so nothing like this ever happens again. Nothing leaves this room and after tonight, they move on.

Marjorie and Noa keep talking at the Olivar Apartment. In light of everything, Marjorie wants to try to get clean, but not with rehab. She wants to do it by herself at home. She's a nurse and knows how to detox. Noa think it sounds messy, and it is, so Marjorie needs her to stay at Shawn's for a few days. Noa doesn't want her to be alone, but Marjorie assures her that she won't be. She reached out to her sponsor, Grace, who is on her way over. She does need help with her shifts at Pinball Pizza. Noa agrees to cover for her and will go tomorrow after school.

Noa goes to Shawn's house and they curl upon the couch. His parents are fine with her staying as long as he "sleeps on the floor". He asks if her mom will be okay, so she lies that it's just the flu. She can't get sick or Coach D will kill her, though it might be a few days. Shawn assures her that she can stay as long as she wants. He loves that she's here. She thanks him and turns to share a kiss.

Sidney talks to Tabby in the latter's bedroom, as they still need to talk about what Tabby told her. She can't make the same mistake she made with Angela with her daughter. She asks if Tabby really has no idea who hurt her, and Tabby doesn't. It was just a blur. Sidney asks if they should go to the police now, together, since he's still out there. Tabby wants to, more than anything, but it's not just about her. Imogen was also assaulted and they think it could be the same guy. Sidney comforts her daughter who knows they'll be okay, they just need a little more time.

Noa wakes up to the sound of grunting and commotion. She calls out to Shawn, fearful of what could be happening. He sits up from his work out at 4 AM. He couldn't sleep and was getting some reps in, nearing 350. He apologies for waking her up. She sighs then decides to f*ck it and tells him that she found the pill he's taking. He brushes it off as half the team taking them. She's upset as he told her that he wasn't taking steroids. Football is important to his family, and now that it's over, he's on the basketball team. She thinks he's just coming up with excuses to dope. He counters with the inhaler Beau gave her. She used it once than threw it out because it's illegal and she doesn't know what it will do to her body. Same things as those pills. She asks if he can stop as she just can't handle juggling two addicts in her life. She begins to cry so he caves, saying that he will, but not cold turkey. He has to wean himself off it.

Imogen has a nightmare about A chasing her with a razor blade. she wakes up screaming and breathless.

MONDAY

Faran wakes up and prepares for her normal hair routine. She holds the straightener then looks in the mirror, contemplating her actions as she looks at images of her as a ballerina. She puts the device away and picks up almond jar.

Tabby and Imogen walk to school, discussing Tabby having to lie to her mom until they get the DNA results back. Imogen thinks it will be relief, unless it's not. Tabby knows that one and asks what she's thinking about. If Crazy Joe wanted them dead, he could have killed them in his train car. When he found her at the Waters house it was almost like he panicked. She knows they talked about this already, but she doesn't think if Crazy Joe was really A. She wonders if A killed Crazy Joe then staged it to look like a suicide to throw them off the trail. It could be his MO, as he might have he killed her mom the same way. If A didn't kill her mom, that means Davie must have felt way guiltier about what she did than the other moms, and that just don't reconcile with who she knows her mom to be. Tabby hears her friend, but questions how she can find out what really happened in the bathroom. Imogen's going to go talk with the coroner after school.

In the Beasley house, Martha reprimands Kelly for abandoning Father Karras, who is counting on her. She protests that she's not abandoning him, as she can do both. Tom enters the dining room, asking why the two of them are yelling. Martha briskly says that Kelly volunteered to help Father Karras with a youth group at St. Maud's, but now she's working on a dance piece with one of those girls who hurt Karen. Kelly snaps back that Faran didn't hurt Karen. Besides, Martha would like the piece as it's biblical. Martha snaps back that she can't count her girl for anything, likening father to daughter. Tom thought they decided she was done with dancing. It's just Swan Lake, which is a shame, since Tom was relieved when she quit. The fact is, Kelly was never was the dancer her sister was. Kelly pauses for a moment as she stares at her food. They all miss Karen, and he isn't the only one in pain. But he's the only one who's lashing out like a drunk bully. He cruelly responds that that if there were any justice in this world, it would have been her who slipped and not Karen. Kelly angrily yells "f*ck you!" to her father and storms off to her room. Martha wearily murmurs that he's so troubled and tortured. He gets up and leaves the room.

Mouse and Ash sit at the fountain outside of Millwood High. She apologizes for not texting him back. Last night, she had this traumatizing "come to Jesus" with one of her moms. Then she got home and her other mom asked her to set her up on lesbian dating apps, which was somehow even more traumatizing. Ash takes in the information, asking if they're done with each other. She hopes not, but doesn't see how then can work things out when they refuse to be in the same room together. He has an idea. Her family loves Disney movies, so he suggests that she "Parent Trap" them to force a face-to-face meeting.

Nurse Simmons gives Imogen a pregnancy checkup, though this time Chip is there. He knows it's usually just the two of them, but he wants to be supportive. A pointed look from Nurse Simmons prompts him to promise he won't say anything else. Everything seems to be on track for the 38th week of a pregnancy, and it won't too much longer before the birth. The only thing that concerns her is Imogen's blood pressure, which is a little high. Imogen likens her whole life to being one big anxiety attack. Nurse Simmons reminds her that hypertension can lead to risk. It is of paramount importance that she stay calm and have no outside stressors.

Noa, Imogen, Mouse, and Tabby eat lunch together when Faran joins them. Tabby compliments her new look, and Noa chimes in with likening her look to fire emojis. Faran's trying something new. For the first time in her life, she's giving herself permission to let down her hair and go natural. New project, new look. Imogen thinks it's working, and gives her major props for starting an independent study on top of everything else they're dealing with. She's excited to be a choreographer for a change, as they shape the story. This is her interpretation of the Adam and Eve story. Tabby's version of "Psycho" inspired her to talk to Giry about creating a dance piece. Tabby loves that and the girls wiggle their fingers, having a love fest. Mouse "hearts" them. The sound of boys cat calling distracts her, so she looks over her shoulder. The Little Liars watch as Kelly saunters into the cafeteria looking exceptionally like Karen. She sits on Greg's leg as Faran groans over this sh*t happening again.

Faran directs Henry and another female ballerina in their dancing for her independent study.

Tabby asks Wes for advice on her short film, leaning on the counter of The Orpheum as they talk. He thinks it's awesome and offers to lend her some of his equipment for her shoot. This excites her, though he reminds her to be super careful with his camera. As they plot over the story boards, Chip watches from the background, clutching his mop.

Imogen meets with the coroner about exhuming her moms grave for him to do an autopsy. She needs to file a petition with the Country Sheriff for permission first.

Henry talks to Faran in her bedroom as they sit on her bed. While he was practicing the apple scene with Kelly, she kissed him. This angers Faran, as the bitching kissing him was not part of her choreographic vision. He quickly adds that it wasn't a make-out, and called her out as soon as it happened. She swore that she got caught up in the moment and wouldn't happen again. Faran appreciates his honesty, but is going to talk to Kelly about this. She nervously asks if Kelly really initiated the kiss. He doesn't know why he would want to kiss Kelly when he has her. She feels insecure that he hasn't said anything about her new look. He noticed, if that's what she's asking, and thinks she looks gorgeous. He didn't want to risk offending her or saying the wrong thing by complimenting her. She looks incredible as she always does. They chuckle and she kisses him. They being to make-out until Corey interrupts. She tells Prince Charming to say goodnight as Cinderella has homework. He starts to leave then twirls back to Faran, giving her a final goodnight kiss. He earns Corey's look of surprise disapproval on his way out.

Mouse and Ash successfully "Parent Trap" Elodie and Shirley at Pinball Pizza. Noa delivers their pizza and relays that refills are on the house tonight. The group starts preparing to eat. Elodie bluntly asks him if he he feels scared as a young trans man in Millwood. He nervously bites his pizza. Once back in her room, Mouse facetimes Ash and profusely apologizes for her mom's intense questions. He agrees they were intense but he thinks that her heart was in the right place. She sighs over it being constant dysfunction. He asks if she connected with her dad yet, and she did, over Thanksgiving. Ash is okay with going bowling just the three of them sometime.

Noa takes out the trash when Marjorie's shady drug dealer arrives to collect the night's tips like he always does. She can't believe he harasses her mother at work. She owes him, is all. Noa counters that she doesn't owe him anything or want anything to do with him. He merely smirks, nodding that he'll be seeing her.

Tabby comes home late to Sidney's worried questions. It wouldn't kill her to text Sidney when she's running late, a statement Tabby agrees with. She kisses her mom's cheek then goes upstairs to do her homework. Sidney recalls another time that Wes gave Tabby a ride home.

TUESDAY

Sheriff Clanton glibly tells Imogen that exhuming a corpse isn't like petitioning for a traffic light. He'd need a compelling reason to take it before a judge. She knows her mom didn't kill herself and was murdered. He lobs questions at her - how, by whom, and why come to him now months after the fact. She likens her need to know what happened in that bathroom to him wanting to know what happened to Karen those rafters. If there is even a chance that her mother didn't choose to leave her, that would make all the difference in the world. After looking at a photo of his daughters, he tearfully agrees to help her, but needs the consent of an adult, Davie's next of kin. She asks if her father qualifies.

Faran confronts Kelly at the dance lockers for kissing Henry. Kelly insists it was an accident - she didn't know what she was doing or thinking. Things have been really intense at home. Faran notices blood trickling down Kelly's leg. The girl quickly says it's her period, but a fresh cut on her leg says otherwise. Faran sees an open kit in the lockers. Kelly quickly closes it, claiming it's her sewing kit, but Faran knows better. She presses Kelly to talk to her. They sit on a bench as Kelly opens up about her father, how he's always been bad. But now he resents that Karen is dead and Kelly is alive. He said as much to her face. Faran calls him a lunatic that she shouldn't listen to him. Hurting herself is not the answer. Kelly doesn't know what to do. Sometimes she wishes the same thing he does, that she was Karen, or the one that died. Faran refuses to let her say the words or even think them. She curses Tom off and insists that Kelly promise not to hurt herself anymore, and that she'll talk to someone. Karen and Kelly might have been horrible to her, but she thinks they can break that cycle. They share a tight hug.

Noa works another shift at Pinball Pizza when Shawn and the other jocks enter. They sit at a private table while the rest of the team chats. They explain their presence - his basketball practice ended early, while she's covering her mom's shift. She admits to lying about her mom having the flu, when she's at home detoxing. Shawn scoffs at the reveal and shakes his head in disapproval. She snaps that he shouldn't be judging. He dislikes the comparison to her mom. He doesn't take drugs recreationally, which isn't why Marjorie started either. She only started using to help with the pain from working long hours and being on her feet. He didn't know any of that and apologizes. If he means that, he'll throw away those pills. He grins that he already did, offering to let her check his bag, locker, and room. The team calls to Shawn to either order or leave, so he decides to go. She has to check in on her mom before seeing him tonight. She thanks him with a kiss, as his friends make kissing noises at the couple.

Sidney gets a drink of water after her run. She reads a text from Tabby who is working late. Sidney offers to pick her up, but she's getting a ride from Wes. Sidney doesn't like that and storms out of the house.

She arrives angrily at The Orpheum and tells Wes to get away from her daughter. Tabby starts to protest but Sidney is adamant. She questions how old he is, averaging 30, though he lies about being in his 20s. She sneers at his making a teenage girl work late, giving her rides home. He was helping her with her shot list, which she thinks is his grooming her and preying on her. He made a move on her one time but apologized right after. That's enough for Sidney, who calls him a motherf*cker and plans to call the police. Tabby finally gets through to her mother, insisting she stop to listen to her. Sidney is protecting her from this rapist, with Wes holding his hands up in an act if innocence. Tabby pulls her mom outside, though she continues to hurl insults at Wes, including that if he comes within 10 feet of her daughter, she'll cut his f*cking dick off. Wes walks off as Chip stands on the indoor steps.

Now outside, Tabby tells Sidney to calm down. The woman can't, not after what he did to her daughter. Wes isn't the one who hurt her. Sidney iterates that nine times out of ten it's someone they know. Tabby tells her the girls theory of it being someone at school, probably a jock. They were both at parties with a bunch of football players. Sidney wants to tell that to Principal Clanton, but Tabby already has a plan. She tells them about the DNA testing that Noa's mom is helping them with. The more proof they have, the more chance the people in charge will actually do something. Sidney decide to talk to Corey and see if she knows anyone in the DA's office to help them navigate this.

Mouse, Steve, and Ash go bowling together. Steve tells Ash he's a good guy, and he's glad his little girl is dating someone like him. Ash thanks him, adding that Mouse is a rock star. Steve can't take credit for that, as her moms are responsible. He's just hoping to make up for lost time. He gets a phone call that he has to take, but tells the kids to pick out their bowling balls.

Faran confronts Sheriff Clanton at the police station about Kelly cutting herself. He refuses to believe that, but she's seen the blood. She's doing it because he abuses her. He's never a laid a hand on her, but Faran meant verbally and emotionally. She's here to something that no one has ever done before - hold him accountable. She knows all about the boy, or boys, and how he abuses his power to make them give him favors. He muses that Olivar is going to get herself hauled back to juvie if she keeps spreading lies. Faran feigns surprise as Noa didn't tell her anything. But now she can't wait to ask her about it. Clanton angrily leans on the desk, viscously asking what she wants, the little bitch. Faran stands inches away from him. If he so much as raises his voice to Kelly while Faran gets her the help she needs, she will blow the whistle on him. She also recommends he step down as Community Service Leader, effective immediately. He really shouldn't be around young people. She leaves the office and, once around the corner, leans on the wall to catch her breath.

Ash and Mouse prepare for bowling as Steve starts to leave. She asks if her dad is going somewhere. He emotionally tells her not to call him that. He has to leave right f*cking now.

Tabby talks to Chip about her mom's outburst. Chip asks if Wes ever tried anything with her. He did once, but nothing happened. She asks if he's jealous but he denies it. She thinks he's into Imogen, but it's only because Tabby wouldn't give her a shot. Tabby wants to make sure he's really into Imogen because she's into him. He assures her that he is. Tabby doesn't want to see her friend get hurt. He doesn't want her to get hurt with Wes. He's said things about her before, like how he wants to f*ck her. He's a creep that Chip doesn't trust, so she should be careful. Tabby goes back to cleaning the posters.

Imogen goes to Millwood Quarry to see her father, and he asks why she's there. She needs his permission to exhume mom's body. She doesn't believe Davie killed herself, that there's more to the story but she needs proof. She gives him the form to sign. Sawyer reluctantly admits that when he and her mom were first together, she suffered on and off with depression. She saw therapists, took medications, but there was a push and pull with her. Sometimes it would seem like she had gotten on the other side of it, and then it'd be bad again. Especially, around the holidays. There was one New Year's Ever where Davie took a combination of alcohol and pills; maybe it was accidental, maybe not. Imogen inquires if Davie ever opened up to him about why she was struggling. He surmises it's something that happened in high school. She wouldn't talk about that time in her life much. Imogen's wrestling with the idea of her mom that she knows wasn't that way. She loved life and radiated love. Sawyer admits she changed, emerged from her depression when she got pregnant with Imogen. Her whole outlook on life transformed. There were no more pills or days in bed. She would say, "no little girl will be more loved than Imogen. No little girl...will be more cherished." Imogen asks why he didn't want her. He couldn't take care of her, not they way she needed. Living next to a quarry is no place for a young girl to group up, and Davie knew that. Before she died, she drew it up in her will that if anything happened to her, Imogen would live with Sidney Haworthe. Davie knew she'd take care of Imogen like she was her own. He asks if that's true, if she's being taken care of, and she is. He agrees to sign whatever she needs. Not just because he should, but because he knows she's right. Her mom would never choose to leave her. He'll call her if he thinks of anything else.

Tabby does her homework in her room as she recalls her conversation with Sidney about a rapist being someone a survivor knows. She looks at her hand and remembers Wes holding it in the car. She instinctively curls it up. She knows Wes wasn't at the parties. She dies down and flashes back to Karen's party. Chip joins her on the couch and encourages her to drink with him. He's a sloppy drunk, as Tabby points out. She starts to leave to get him water but he stops her. He kisses her but she tells him to wait. She doesn't think of him that way. They're friends, best friends. He grimly realizes he probably should have figure that out by now. He readies to leave and stops her from coming with him. He would rather be alone right now. Tabby remembers Imogen's story of being raped after Karen's f*cked up house party in march.

WEDNESDAY

Noa leaves class when Marjorie calls her. She gathers the girls in the bathroom. The lab got the DNA results and there's a match, but from the blood in the cotton balls not the locker room. Now they know it's not a jock but another creep at school. Imogen pulls out a paper of the names of all the boys who donated blood. There are 66 of them, so one of those 66 is the person who did this to her and maybe Tabby. Noa asks what happens now. Tabby will take the list as her mom said she'd talk to the D.A., to help them with next steps. Faran wants to retest those 66 boys - 62 because Faran adds that it wasn't Henry, Noa knows that t wasn't Shawn, Mouse adds that it wasn't Ash, and Imogen eliminates Chip.

Tabby talks to Greg about the bonfire party after school, which he kind of remembers. She asks him to recall if Chip was there who helped her with the Psycho shoot. He might remember as some nitwits did crash, but he's not sure. He suggests just asking Chip instead, heading off to talk with another girl.

Mouse answers a call from Steve who sobs on the other end. He tells her they found Rachel, which relieves her as she asks where she was and if she's home. She isn't, as they found her body in a landfill. Mouse apologizes and he asks to see her as he needs someone to talk too. After a moment of silence, Mouse agrees to see him.

In the library, Imogen answers a call from Sheriff Beasley who asks what kind of game she's playing. He told her it would take time for the judge to review her case, but she just couldn't wait. This confuses her as she stands in the hall. He tells her that her mom's body is missing. Imogen passes out in the hall.

At Red Ranch Motel, Mouse tries to calm Steve's breakdown over playing with Mouse instead of looking for Rachel. He refuses to let her answer a phone call. She wants to help so he leaves for a moment. She suggests calling her moms. He gives her a set of pajamas to wear, calling her Rachel.

Corey quickly prepares to leave the Bryant house, as Zeke was arrested for having a busted tail light. It makes zero sense because he just replaced them. They're saying he resisted arrest, which sounds like a racist cop abusing his power. She tells Faran to stay put while she brings her father home.

Ash talks to Shirley and Elodie at Millwood Pawn, since Mouse isn't returning his calls or texts. They had a crazy night with her dad at the bowling alley. Elodie didn't know she was in contact with her father. Ash has met Steve a few times now. Elodie insists that isn't Mouse's father's name. She starts tracking Mouse's location, which upsets Shirley but also relieves her. They head out to the Red Ranch Hotel.

Noa comes home to find her mom's drug deal there. She demands to know why he's there. She grabs a bat and threatens him to get out of her f*cking house. Marjorie stops her as she called him, as she needed his help. Noa realizes what's happening, adding that her mom doesn't need that kind of help.

Ash bangs on the Red Ranch Motel door and Mouse answers, relieved to see him. Her mom's question why she's there and dressed like that. Elodie sees Steve sobbing on the couch over a photo album and recognizes him Mouse admits that her friend Steve got some bad news about his daughter Rachel. They were playing pretend, both of them. But now the game's over. She hugs her moms and apologizes to them.

Faran rings Kelly's doorbell as she needs to tell both of them something about her dad. They sit at the table as the news sinks in for Kelly, who had no idea. He's going off the deep end and went after her dad. It's going to get worse.

Imogen brings a bundle of flowers to her mom's grave, only to find the coffin open and headstone defaced with a red A. Davie's body falls from behind the stone. When Imogen turns around, A swings a scythe at her throat. She gasps awake in her bed. She answers a call from Sawyer who remembered something from Davie's youth. Her high school sweetheart was named Tom, or Tommy something. Imogen realizes it was Tom Beasley.

Kelly asks if her mom knew and she did. He's always had his demons, even back in high school when he forced himself on that poor girl just to prove something. Faran realizes what's happening.

Imogen goes through the Millwood High Steppenwolf's 2000 year book, finding a page for Tom Beasley; complete with a photo of himself with Davie.

Faran asks which poor girl Tom hurt. Martha reveals that her name was Angela.
